Kings sold, next stop: Seattle!
Seattle, your time as come to enjoy NBA basketball again. Pending a relocation and approval from the league, The Kings from Sacramento will be sold for $525 Million to a group of buyers in Seattle. 65% of the teams ownership is in that $525 but 35% still remains unknown. It will come down to the league to decide how those shares get sold. As for now, the future looks good for the relocation. It was just a matter of time before this deal got done, being that they tried this a year ago and it was rejected. Seattle hasn't seen NBA basketball since the rookie season of Kevin Durant. According to that deal and how OKC stands today as a force in the NBA, this could be a good move for the team. The city of Sacramento may be depressed but if you look at the brighter side, your team is heading in the right direction. The team is young and will only get younger if the next couple years don't really play out as contenders in the West. The team needs a new image, they need a new coach and they need new hope. These guys go to this city to fall apart. I cant remember the last time I heard of a legend coming from Sacramento. The players on this team and to be on this team have to much future talent to go somewhere where they cant play how they should. The Thunder have completely renovated the game and they built a team from scratch and look where they are now. I see the same thing coming to Seattle. These "should be" all-stars will have motivation and a goal ahead of them to show the NBA that they aren't a bust and they deserve a spot in the playoffs. I believe this good for the game of basketball, being that its only getting younger with this generation and the game is changing completely. I hope to see a new name out in Seattle and new colors and hopefully a deep playoff run in the near future. Seattle, Basketball is BACK!!!!
